Brush Donated by Mark Ryden
Brush donated by Mark Ryden

All but one of the auctions is now complete (click here to see it…a great little painting donated by Josh “Shag Agle”). So far we’ve received bids for over $4,000 to be donated to Gigi’s Playhouse! Thank you for opening your wallets for a great cause.

And while I’m thanking people, let’s not forget the artists who donated brushes, prints and even paintings. We’re humbled and honored to be able to work with these artists in our gallery, and even further humbled by their generosity in donating for the Brush Project.

What is the Brush Project?

The Brush Project is a charity auction where you get the chance to purchase a unique piece of artist memorabilia, one that isn’t usually available to collectors….the artist’s brush.

The auctions for Brush Project 2 will be held on eBay beginning Sunday, September 27th and concluding on Tuesday, October 6th. Please see our Auction Information page for detailed links to auction listings once we begin.

The brushes will be displayed at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago for the duration of the auction process. All bidding, however, will be held online via eBay. We will be hosting an opening reception for the Brush Project concurrent with the opening of “My Kind of Town: A Chicago Artists Group Exhibit” at the gallery on Friday, September 25 from 7pm until 10pm.

The following artists have very generously donated brushes to be auctioned off in support of our chosen charity for the Brush Project, Gigi’s Playhouse. Click the artist name to view their brush:
